Obverse description The full achievement of the Montfort comital coat of arms occupies the centre of the field, surmounted by a crested helmet with elaborate mantling flowing to either side. Two armorial supporters flank the shield, standing on a base line. The overall composition is rendered in the Baroque heraldic style typical of small Holy Roman Empire territories in the early eighteenth century. The coin border is formed by a ring of pellets.
