| Obverse description | The obverse features the Reichsadler, the German Imperial Eagle of the Third Reich period, displayed with wings spread and head turned to the right, grasping in its talons an oak wreath encircling a swastika. The eagle is rendered in bold relief against a smooth field, with fine feather detailing across the wings and breast. A beaded border frames the design along the outer rim. The Gothic-script legend 'GEMEINNUTZ VOR EIGENNUTZ' (Common good before self-interest) arcs around the upper periphery. The Berlin Mint mark 'A' appears below the eagle at the base of the design. |
