| 正面描述 | Central device comprises the Weimar Republic eagle displayed, with wings spread and head turned to the right, rendered in a bold, stylized relief. The eagle stands above the date 1925, which appears in the lower field flanked by small decorative rosettes. The circular legend DEUTSCHES REICH runs along the left and right periphery, separated from the inner field by a beaded border. The overall design reflects the restrained neoclassical aesthetic characteristic of early Weimar-era coinage. |

The Reichsmark currency reform of 1924 required the German government to settle on workable coinage specifications before full production could begin. Several pattern compositions were tested for the 1 Reichsmark denomination — brass among them — before nickel was selected for the circulating issue. The Schaaf 319/M 2 designation places this among the documented pattern series catalogued by Gerhard Schaaf, though surviving examples are exceedingly rare and seldom appear at auction.
