| 备注 |
The OKW issued these Lagergeld notes specifically for use by Allied prisoners of war held in German camps, a practice required under the 1929 Geneva Convention, which obligated detaining powers to pay working prisoners in a scrip redeemable within the camp system. The notes could not be exchanged for Reichsmarks and had no value outside the wire — by design.
S&B 194 covers a long span of wartime production, and the series shows printing and paper variations that reflect wartime material shortages as the conflict progressed. Some denominations are significantly scarcer than others depending on which camp system they supplied.
