| Obverse description | Black letterpress text on white paper with a large solid red triangle as the central underprint, upon which the denomination numeral '1' is printed in white. The title 'Kriegsgefangenen-Lagergeld' and denomination 'Gutschein über 1 Reichsmark' appear in the upper portion, above a lengthy legal-use restriction text in small type. A German Wehrmacht eagle with swastika vignette is positioned at the lower left, with a serial number prefixed by '4·' at the upper right, and a manuscript signature beneath the issuing authority line at the bottom. |

| Obverse lettering | Kriegsgefangenen-Lagergeld Gutschein über 1 Reichsmark Dieser Gutschein gilt nur als Zahlungsmittel für Kriegsgefangene und darf von ihnen nur innerhalb der Kriegsgefangenenlager oder bei Arbeitskommandos in den ausdrücklich hierfür bezeichneten Verkaufsstellen verausgabt und entgegengenommen werden. Der Umtausch dieses Gutscheines in gesetzliche Zahlungsmittel darf nur bei der zuständigen Kasse der Lagerverwaltung erfolgen. Zuwiderhandlungen, Nachahmungen und Fälschungen werden bestraft.
