Obverse description Two ornately mantled civic shields displayed side by side within elaborate baroque cartouches, each surmounted by a cherub head with spread wings; the left shield bears the Nuremberg eagle, the right the Hohenzollern quartered arms. Above the shields, within a rectangular tablet framed by scrollwork, the inscription RES PVB / NVRENBERG in two lines, with the mintmaster's initials F·F below. The date appears in the lower field between the two shields. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border.

Reverse description Crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed, with spread wings, facing forward, bearing on its breast a circular orb inscribed with the value numeral 60. The eagle's two heads are each crowned individually, surmounted by a single imperial crown above. A circular legend surrounds the eagle within a beaded border, reading the titulature of Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand II.
