| Obverse description | Two ornately mantled civic shields displayed side by side within elaborate baroque cartouches, each surmounted by a cherub head with spread wings; the left shield bears the Nuremberg eagle, the right the Hohenzollern quartered arms. Above the shields, within a rectangular tablet framed by scrollwork, the inscription RES PVB / NVRENBERG in two lines, with the mintmaster's initials F·F below. The date appears in the lower field between the two shields. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
