| Obverse description | Central field displays the crowned imperial double-headed eagle of the Holy Roman Empire at the top of the shield, above the divided Nuremberg city arms: the lower two quarters bear respectively an eagle displayed and a diagonal bar (the traditional arms of Nuremberg), all within a large heraldic shield. The date 1595 appears divided across the upper portion of the shield flanking the eagle. The whole is surrounded by a beaded inner border and the circular Latin legend MONETA. ARGENTEA. REIPVB. NYRENBERG. reading around the periphery, with a rope-style outer border. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents a fine hammered double-headed imperial eagle with wings spread, each head crowned and surmounted by a single imperial crown above, the whole eagle displayed in bold relief. On the breast of the eagle is an orb bearing the value mark 60 (kreuzer). The surrounding circular Latin legend reads RVDOLPHI. II. ROM. IMP. AVG. P. F. DEC., referencing Emperor Rudolf II as Roman Emperor Augustus, Pius, Felix, Decennalis, enclosed within beaded and rope borders. |
