| Descrição do anverso |
Host coin obverse of a Spanish Colonial 1 Real, struck at the Guatemala City Mint, featuring the crowned hemispheres design within an ornamental border. The central field displays two crowned globes flanked by crowned pillars with the motto scrolls, set within a circular beaded border. The peripheral legend reads CAROLOS III DEI GRATIA with the date 1773 in the lower exergue area. An applied Salvadoran countermark is prominently struck over the host coin's central field, partially obscuring the underlying design. |

| Descrição do reverso |
The reverse of the host coin is heavily worn and largely obscured, retaining only traces of the original Spanish Colonial design. Superimposed upon the field is the Type V Salvadoran countermark consisting of the initials R.O. surmounted by a crown, struck in an incuse or raised punch. The surrounding host coin legend is largely illegible due to wear and the application of the countermark. The countermark served as official validation for continued circulation within El Salvador during the monetary emergency of 1868. |
