| Beschrijving voorzijde | Type I Costa Rican countermark consisting of a radiant six-pointed star punched within a small incuse circle of approximately 7 mm diameter, applied to the obverse of a Mexican host coin. The host coin displays the national arms of the Mexican Republic at centre, surrounded by the legend REPUBLICA MEXICANA. The countermark is positioned within the field of the host coin design. The host coin shows evidence of being cut and pierced with a central round hole as part of the emergency currency preparation process. |
