Obverse description Central device depicting the provincial coat of arms of Córdoba, featuring a turreted castle or fortified tower at centre, surrounded by radiating elements including crossed swords or lances and laurel or olive branches at the base, all set within a beaded inner border. The circular Latin legend PROVINCIA DE CORDOVA runs along the periphery. The design is rendered in a bold, somewhat primitive provincial style characteristic of early Argentine confederation coinage.
