Comments

The Banco Argentino was one of several provincial banks operating in Rosario during the fractured monetary period before Argentina's national banking legislation consolidated the field. Notes denominated in "reales plata boliviana" reflect a genuine practical problem: Bolivian silver coinage circulated extensively in the interior provinces, and bank paper had to be denominated in terms the local commercial class actually used, not in pesos fuertes favored along the Río de la Plata littoral.

The asterisk designation in the Pick Supplement reference typically signals either a proof, remainder, or unissued status — worth confirming against the Cuhaj records before cataloging as a circulated example.
