Description de l’avers	The obverse displays the coat of arms of Honduras centrally, featuring a triangular cartouche at the top enclosing a radiant sun rising over a mountain range flanked by two castles or towers. Below, an elaborate landscape scene depicts a coastal panorama with sailing ships at sea on either side and a fortified town or citadel set against a backdrop of mountains. The entire central device is framed by a draped and knotted cloth or banner, rendered with fine sculptural detail. The circumferential legend reads REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS in the upper arc and AMERICA CENTRAL in the lower arc, separated by decorative elements. The engraver's signature BARRE appears at the base of the design within the beaded border.

Description du revers	The reverse presents a large numeral '1' above the denomination legend REAL, centered within the field, with the date 1869 below. The entire central inscription is encircled by a finely engraved wreath of laurel or olive branches, tied at the base with a ribbon bow bearing the mint mark 'E' just above. The design is executed in the elegant neoclassical style characteristic of the Paris Mint under Barre, with the wreath rendered in precise, high-relief detail. A beaded border runs along the inner rim of the coin.
