| Obverse description | The obverse displays the coat of arms of Honduras centrally, featuring a triangular cartouche at the top enclosing a radiant sun rising over a mountain range flanked by two castles or towers. Below, an elaborate landscape scene depicts a coastal panorama with sailing ships at sea on either side and a fortified town or citadel set against a backdrop of mountains.
