| Obverse description | Central field features the oval shield of the Córdoba provincial coat of arms, divided horizontally with horizontal striations in the upper half and a stylized device in the lower half, encircled by a wreath of laurel and oak branches. Above the shield, a Phrygian liberty cap is depicted, serving as a provincial emblem. The peripheral legend PROVINCIA DE CORDOVA (with spelling variants known across die types) runs along the outer border, separated by ornamental stops. The date, partially visible at the base of the wreath, appears as 18[43], with the final digits subject to die variety. The coin is struck within a beaded border. |
