Reverse description Central shield bearing the arms of Aragon, depicting vertical pales (bars), surmounted by a royal crown. The shield is set within a beaded inner circle, with the circumferential legend DOMINVS MICHI ATIVTO (Dominus mihi adiutor, 'The Lord is my helper') rendered in Gothic script. The design is characteristically simple and bold, as typical of Castilian hammered silver reales of the late fifteenth century. The irregular flan shows the hand-struck nature of the piece, with slight weakness at the periphery common to this issue.
