Reverse description Central field displays the crowned shield of Aragon, bearing the characteristic vertical pales (barry of gold and gules) of the Kingdom of Aragon, surmounted by a royal crown. A beaded inner circle borders the central heraldic device, separating it from the surrounding peripheral legend. The Latin motto DOMINVS MICHI ATIVTO ET, a truncated rendering of the devotional phrase 'Dominus mihi adiutor' (The Lord is my helper), runs around the coin's edge. The flan is notably irregular in shape, consistent with hand-hammered production techniques of the late 15th century.
