| Reverse description | Central field features the personal emblems of the Catholic Monarchs: the bundle of arrows associated with Isabella of Castile and the yoke associated with Ferdinand of Aragon, arranged conjoined within a beaded inner circle. These devices served as personal imprese of the royal couple and are rendered in bold relief. A circular Latin legend encircles the beaded border, proclaiming the monarchs' royal titles over Castile and León. The composition faithfully replicates the reverse type of the original late 15th-century 1 Real coinage. |

Nothing about this piece requires elaboration. It is a modern brass replica of a Catholic Monarchs real — a souvenir, not a coin — and no historical depth accrues to the reproduction itself.
