| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of King Carlos III facing right, rendered in the classic portrait style of the Spanish colonial milled coinage. The effigy occupies the central field, with the king depicted wearing a laurel wreath and lace-trimmed robes. The circumferential legend reads CAROLUS·III·DEI·GRATIA, beginning at the lower left and continuing clockwise around the portrait. The date appears in the lower field beneath the truncation of the bust. A fine toothed border frames the entire design. |

| Reverse description | The crowned Royal Arms of Spain, quartered with the castles of Castile and the lions of León, with a central escutcheon bearing the fleur-de-lis of the Bourbon dynasty, displayed prominently in the center of the field. Flanking the shield on either side are the Pillars of Hercules, each wound with a banner, representing the Strait of Gibraltar. The circumferential legend HISPAN·ET·IND·REX encircles the design, accompanied by the Lima mint mark (LME) and assayer's initials. A toothed border runs along the coin's rim. |
