Obverse description Central crowned royal arms shield of Spain displaying the quartered castles and lions of Castile and León, with the value numeral '1' to the right and the assayer's mark 'R' to the left of the shield. The crowned shield is surrounded by a circular legend reading the king's titles in Latin.
