(Translation: Carlos 2nd by the grace of God)
Reverse description Irregular cob flan displaying the Jerusalem cross with fleurs-de-lis in the angles, quartered by lions and castles representing the arms of Castile and León. The cross is the dominant design element, occupying most of the available field on this hand-hammered macuquina piece. Portions of the surrounding legend and the assayer letter are visible where the die impression falls on the irregular planchet. The design follows the standard typology for colonial Spanish cob coinage of the period.
