| Opmerkingen |
Banco Solanas y Cía. was one of several short-lived private Bolivian banks that briefly held note-issuing authority during the 1870s, before the Bolivian government moved to consolidate banking under stricter licensing frameworks later in the decade. Provincial private banks of this period typically issued in small quantities, and survival rates are correspondingly poor — not because of deliberate destruction, but simple disuse and the indifference of a largely barter-dependent rural economy toward paper instruments.
The "Real Boliviano" denomination places this note in the transitional period before Bolivia fully standardized on the Boliviano, making the unit itself a dating marker of some precision.
