Opmerkingen

Banco Provincial de Córdoba was one of several Argentine provincial banks operating under the loose monetary framework of the 1860s–70s, when no single national currency had yet taken hold. Provincial notes circulated alongside foreign coin and competing paper issues, with exchange rates fluctuating street to street. The "Real Boliviano" denomination reflects that environment directly — it was pegged conceptually to Bolivian silver coinage still physically present in the Andean trade corridors feeding into Córdoba province.

The PS prefix in the Pick reference places this firmly in the specimen or provincial category. Surviving issued examples from this bank in any denomination are genuinely uncommon; the bank's note-issuing operations were wound down following the 1875 banking crisis that forced closure or consolidation of several provincial institutions before the Banco Nacional absorbed their functions.
