| 背面描述 | The date '1854' is prominently displayed at the center, enclosed within an open wreath of oak and berry branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The legend 'CASA DE MONEDA' arcs around the upper periphery, while the denomination 'UN REAL' is inscribed in the lower exergual area below the wreath. A dentilated border surrounds the entire design. |

The Casa de Moneda de Buenos Aires operated during one of the most fractured periods in Argentine monetary history — the 1850s saw the Province of Buenos Aires functioning as a de facto independent state, having seceded from the Argentine Confederation in 1852 following the Battle of Caseros. This copper issue was produced entirely for provincial circulation, not national, and predates Buenos Aires' reintegration into the republic by nearly a decade.
Copper coinage from this mint survives unevenly; many pieces saw heavy use in small commercial transactions and returned little to collectors. CJ#22 references confirm this as a distinct provincial type.
