Reverse description A bold Greek cross with flared terminals divides the field into four quadrants, each bearing alternating castles and lions in the traditional Castile-and-Leon heraldic arrangement. The castles appear in the upper-left and lower-right quadrants, with rampant lions occupying the remaining quarters. The entire design is enclosed within a partial tressure of arcs, typical of Spanish colonial cob coinage of this period.
