Obverse description Crowned shield of the Central American Republic displayed in the field, featuring a quartered arrangement with a deer's head and a stag in the upper quarters and two castles or towers in the lower quarters, each set within a crenellated border. A boldly rendered cross divides the shield into its four quadrants. The abbreviated date appears at the base of the design below the central cross. The flan is irregular in shape, characteristic of cob coinage produced by the hammered technique.

Reverse description Central field features the denomination numeral '1' prominently struck within a rectangular frame, flanked by partial elements of the coat of arms or decorative devices. To the left, a six-pointed star or radiant sun motif is partially visible, while additional heraldic elements appear at the corners of the design. The overall composition is characteristic of Central American cob coinage of the early republican period, with the design struck on an irregularly shaped planchet with uneven surfaces and rough edges typical of the hammered cob technique.
