| Reverse description | Hammered silver flan with a three-line Arabic inscription distributed across the field. The legend reads 'la ilaha illa Allah / Muhammad rasul Allah / Ibn Malik' (There is no god but God / Muhammad is the messenger of God / Ibn Malik), combining the Islamic shahada with the name of the issuing authority. The Kufic script is bold and closely spaced, occupying most of the available die area. This attributive formula is characteristic of taifa-period fractional silver coinage struck under local rulers invoking Almoravid nominal authority. |
