Obverse description Head of a bovine animal (ox or bull) facing right in low relief, rendered in the archaic Italic style characteristic of early Roman-allied aes grave coinage. The modelling is bold but summary, with large circular eye, prominent muzzle, and flowing mane indicated by incised lines above the neckline. The flan is broad, thick, and irregular, consistent with the cast production method of this series. No inscription or legend is present in the field.
