Obverse description Intaglio-printed portrait of General José María Orellana, President of the Republic 1921–1926, occupying the right portion of the note against a fine guilloche underprint in green. A vignette of the national bird, the resplendent quetzal in flight, appears to the left of centre, flanked by pre-Columbian decorative motifs along the left border and a circular guilloche rosette at upper right.
