Reverse description The denomination inscription 'VN QVATRINO ROMANO' is displayed in three bold lines across the central field, within a plain inner circle, surrounded by a beaded outer border. The lettering is in a wide, raised serif font typical of Papal States copper coinage of the late 18th century. The field is otherwise plain, giving the denomination text full prominence. The design is simple and functional, consistent with the utilitarian character of small-denomination circulation coinage.
