Obverse description Draped and capped bust of Pope Paul V facing left, rendered in low relief consistent with hammered coinage of the period. The papal camauro cap surmounts the head, with vestments visible at the truncation. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, partially weak due to the irregular flan and hammered technique. The overall style is characteristic of early seventeenth-century Ferrarese papal coinage, with a somewhat crude but expressive portrait.
