Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Carlos III facing right, occupying the central field of the square flan. A laurel branch is visible above and behind the bust. The legend CAROLVS·III·REX·HISP· curves along the upper left periphery, and the date 1725 appears in the exergual area at the base of the bust.

Reverse description A large ornate crown dominates the upper portion of the square flan, positioned above a two-line inscription reading MLNI / DVX, denoting Milan and the ducal title. The entire composition is enclosed within a wreath or decorative border of dots and foliate elements that follows the irregular square shape of the klippe.
