Reverse description The Holy Spirit, represented as a dove with wings fully spread and surrounded by a prominent radiate glory of fine sunbeams, is depicted descending in the upper portion of the inner circle. Beneath the dove, tongues of flame issue downward across the field, symbolizing the Pentecostal gifts of the Spirit invoked during a papal interregnum. The circumscribed Latin legend INFVNDE AMOREM CORDIBVS encircles the upper field, while the mint name ROMA appears in the exergue, flanked by two pellets. The entire device is enclosed within a beaded border, consistent with the Roman hammered coinage of the period.
