| Beschrijving keerzijde | Three pellets arranged in a triangular configuration serving as the value mark for the quadrans denomination, each dot positioned between the arms of a cross-like arrangement formed by the Etruscan legend. The inscription VELA and ΘRI, reading as a bilingual Etruscan rendering of the toponym Volaterrae, is distributed around the central value marks in the field. The lettering is rendered in a combination of Etruscan and Greek-derived characters, typical of Etruscan municipal bronze issues of the period. |
