Obverse description At center of the coin, the national emblem of Saudi Arabia is depicted: a palm tree above two crossed swords, all rendered in relief against a flat field. Surrounding the central device, a continuous Arabic legend in elaborate Thuluth script curves around the full circumference of the coin, reading the royal titulature of King Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The inscription fills the field densely, leaving little open space between the legend and the central motif.
