| Obverse description | Central round hole surrounded by a wreath composed of oak and olive branches tied at the base, framing the perforation symmetrically. The Arabic legend reads above the hole, and the French legend ETAT DE SYRIE arcs along the lower periphery in Latin characters. Two six-pointed stars flank the wreath at the mid-field, left and right. The entire design is bordered by a continuous beaded rim. The composition was engraved by Henri-Auguste Patey and Lucien Georges Bazor for the Monnaie de Paris. |
