| 背面描述 | Central field displays the Arabic numeral '١' (1) in large format, with the Hijri date '١٣٤٦' (1346 AH) inscribed below in Arabic numerals. The upper portion of the field carries the Arabic inscription 'قرش واحد' (one qirsh) in flowing calligraphic script. The design is set within a plain round flan with a reeded edge, typical of early Saudi coinage struck under King Abd al-Aziz ibn Saud. |

In 1365 AH (1946), Saudi Arabia countermarked existing 1 Qirsh coins with the numeral '65' to distinguish them from underweight or debased pieces then circulating — a low-cost administrative measure to extend the life of coinage already in the money supply without a full reminting operation. The countermark itself was applied unevenly across the run, and specimens with a sharp, well-centered punch are meaningfully scarcer than the type suggests.
