Obverse description Central device features the national emblem of Saudi Arabia comprising two crossed swords beneath a palm tree, all set within the field. The royal legend in Arabic script arcs above and below the central motif, naming King Khalid bin Abd Al-Aziz Al Saud as ruler of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The design is rendered in a bold, deeply struck relief characteristic of Saudi coinage of the period.
