Obverse description Central field features the national emblem of Saudi Arabia: a date palm surmounting two crossed scimitars with their blades facing outward, all rendered in fine relief. The royal legend in flowing Arabic calligraphy encircles the emblem, running from the upper left and continuing around the lower arc of the coin. The inscription names King Faisal bin Abd Al-Aziz Al Saud and his title as King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
