The inscription reads 'Al-Sultan ibn al-Sultan Nasir al-Din Shah Qajar' (The Sultan son of the Sultan Nasir al-Din Shah Qajar), affirming the dynastic legitimacy of the Qajar monarch. The lettering is deeply engraved with characteristic sweeping strokes and diacritical dot clusters, displaying the refined calligraphic tradition of 19th-century Qajar coinage.
