Reverse description The reverse field is entirely filled with a multi-line mint and date legend in elegant nastaliq script, characteristic of Qajar provincial coinage. The principal legend reads 'Zarb Mashhad Muqaddas' (Struck in Holy Mashhad), identifying the issuing mint as the sacred city of Mashhad. The AH date 1287 appears in the lower portion of the field, rendered in Eastern Arabic numerals. The calligraphic execution is bold and deeply struck, with sweeping horizontal strokes and pronounced dot clusters. No additional decorative devices or borders beyond the coin's plain edge are present.
