Reverse description The traditional Iranian imperial emblem occupies the central field: a lion passant to the right, holding an upright sword in its right forepaw, with a radiant sun rising behind its back. Above the lion and sun device, a Kiani crown is prominently displayed. The denomination legend appears in Arabic script in the lower portion of the field, below the lion. The entire design is framed by a wreath of branches, and a beaded border runs along the coin's inner edge.
