| Obverse description | Central field bearing the royal name and epithet of Mohammad Shah in bold Nasta'liq calligraphy, reading 'Mohammad Shahanshah Anbiya' (Muhammad, King of the Prophets), arranged in two curved lines within an oval cartouche. The legend is surrounded by a decorative border of raised beads encircling the entire field. The script is deeply struck in the characteristic hammered style of Qajar mint production, with flowing calligraphic strokes typical of mid-19th century Iranian coinage. |
