Obverse description Central field dominated by the royal Persian legend in bold Nastaliq script, divided by a horizontal cartouche bar into two registers. The upper register bears the name and title of Fath Ali Shah, while the lower register carries the epithet 'Sahib-Qiran' (Lord of the Auspicious Conjunction). The inscription is surrounded by a decorative border of pellets and floral or grape-cluster ornaments arranged around the periphery, characteristic of Qajar hammered coinage. The flan is slightly irregular in shape, consistent with hand-struck production methods of the period.
