目录
| 正面描述 | Outlined map of Azerbaijan occupies the central field, rendered in a stylized cartographic design. The circular legend AZƏRBAYCAN RESPUBLİKASI runs along the upper periphery in Latin script. The denomination 1 QƏPİK is inscribed in the lower field beneath the map. The overall design is clean and uncluttered, with the map as the dominant motif against a smooth coin field. |

Azerbaijan's 2005 bullion qəpik series was issued partly to assert the country's position as an oil-boom economy capable of producing high-fineness coinage, following a decade of post-Soviet monetary instability that had seen the manat decimated by inflation. The 1 qəpik denomination is nominally the smallest unit of the decimal system reintroduced in 1992, making a .999 gold rendition of it a deliberate exercise in contrast.
Schön 13a distinguishes this from later restrikes by mintage year; production quantities were modest and the series never achieved wide secondary-market traction outside specialist Azerbaijani collections.
