Reverse description The denomination and name of the monetary unit are inscribed in Burmese script at the centre of the field, arranged in two lines, with the numeral above and the word 'Pya' below. The central inscription is framed on the left and right by symmetrical, ornate foliate sprays of scrolling acanthus-style vines with floral elements, rendered in fine relief. The date in Burmese script numerals appears at the bottom of the field, below the floral wreath, near the rim.
