| Obverse description | A Chinthe — the mythical Burmese guardian lion-dragon — depicted in full profile, rampant and facing left, occupying the majority of the coin's field. The creature is rendered in fine detail with a maned leonine head shown open-mouthed, a scaled and scrolled serpentine body, and clawed forelimbs raised in a heraldic posture. The tail curls elegantly behind the haunches in a stylized flame motif. No legend or inscription appears on this side; the design fills the field to the raised rim. |
