Obverse description Applied counterstamp of the Nuremberg city arms: a shield divided per fess, displaying a half eagle above and diagonal barry below, struck onto the host coin's field in incuse relief. The counterstamp is centrally placed and deeply impressed, partially obscuring the underlying Bohemian Prague Groschen design. Remnants of the original host coin's circular legend in Gothic uncial characters are visible around the periphery of the irregularly shaped flan.

Reverse description The reverse displays the original Prague Groschen host coin design, now partially effaced by the counterstamping process. A crowned lion of Bohemia is discernible in the central field, characteristic of the Prague Groschen type struck under the Bohemian kings. Surrounding the central device, vestiges of the original Gothic uncial circular legend remain legible in part around the periphery, though heavily worn and distorted from both circulation and the counterstamping procedure.
