Reverse description The reverse of the host Prague Groschen presents the crowned bust of the Bohemian king facing forward within the central field, depicted in the flat, linear Gothic style characteristic of Bohemian grossi of this period. A Latin inscription in uncial letterforms runs around the periphery, partially legible and heavily worn due to extensive circulation. Superimposed upon the central bust is the Schwäbisch Hall countermark, a deeply struck punch that disrupts the underlying royal portrait. The surrounding legend retains traces of the standard Bohemian groschen titulature, though much detail has been lost to wear and the mechanical distortion caused by the counterstamping process.
