| Obverse description | Central field bears the counterstamp of the city of Cham applied over the original Prague Groschen type. The crowned Bohemian lion rampant to the left is partially visible beneath the counterstamp, characteristic of the Prague Groschen coinage of the Bohemian kings. The irregular flan and crude hammered surface are consistent with late 14th to early 15th century Central European minting practice. Traces of the original Gothic legend surrounding the design remain partially legible at the periphery. |
