| Descrição do anverso | At upper centre, an oval intaglio vignette of St. Helier harbour with sailing vessels in the foreground and the fortified hilltop of Fort Regent rising behind the town. Numeral '1' counters in ornate guilloche rosettes flank the central vignette at left and right, with a further 'ONE' counter in a rectangular frame at lower left. The promise-to-pay text and denomination 'ONE POUND' are set in contrasting red letterpress against a fine engine-turned underprint, with 'BRITISH STERLING' in bold red Gothic script along the lower margin. Vertical border inscriptions run along both side margins, and the imprint 'Perkins Bacon & Co. London' appears in small type at lower right. |

The inscription 'RENEWED NOTE' is printed in bold serif capitals immediately below the vignette, serving as an official endorsement overprint to indicate reissue of the note. |
